A Brief History of Aloha Airlines

One of the most popular Hawaiian Airlines, or American Airlines alone for that matter, is Aloha Airlines.  This is a company that has been around for eighty four years, and despite its struggles, doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.  When a company has been around for as long as Aloha Airlines has, there is bound to be a great deal of history to be told, and that is certainly something that can be said about this American airline company.  Here is a brief history of the Aloha Airlines Company, and some background information to go along with it.

This airline company was opened in nineteen twenty nine as an only Hawaii Airlines.  It didn’t take long for it to grow and become one of the biggest airline companies within Hawaii.  Throughout all of the Hawaiian Islands, it had a total of twenty different airports where domestic passengers could go for their flights.  In the first six years, it can be approximated that nearly thirty six million passengers were carried to and from their various destinations—whether they were travelling for business or for leisure, Aloha Airline Company was one of the most trusted companies, even back in its early years.

As time progressed, they continued to progress as well, improving their products, packages, and services.  They modernized their planes, airports, and their tarmacs in order to keep their business at the best it could be.  As they upgraded everything in their business, the number of customers they had increased, and more people were going to them for their travel needs.  For a while, things were going great for this Hawaii airline company.

However, every company is going to run into some problems with time, and that is indeed true for this airline company.  One of the biggest events happened in nineteen ninety eight, and is known as “Aloha Airlines Flight 243”.  This flight is famous because it ended in a tragic and deadly crash that happened for apparently no reason, despite the fact that the pre-flight check showed that nothing was apparently wrong with the plane.  After investigations had been done, it revealed that the Aloha Airline Company may not have done the most in terms of maintenance and keeping up on everything that should have been done on their planes.  This led to a lot of problems for them, and for several years, their business decreased drastically.

They have also had to go through many financial struggles over recent years.  In two thousand eight, they were forced to file for bankruptcy.  They are, however, on their way back up again, and are still one of the top rated Hawaiian Airlines.  Customers know that this is a company that has been around for eighty for years, and that kind of experience comes with the knowledge of what customers really want.  While the road to where they are now hasn’t been the smoothest, Aloha Airlines has been around for a long time, and it doesn’t appear that they will be going anywhere.  They are continuing to open up new airports and locations elsewhere, and advancing and modernizing their business, and will continue doing so for years to come, as long as customers want to come.
